I developed a love for British grown flowers while working at Designers Guild and seeing the in house designers creating fabric designs painted from freshly cut blooms grown here in England.

From here I knew I wanted British flowers when I got married, so as well as asking my mum to grow some flowers I searched for a flower grower close to our wedding venue and this is when I found Flowers from the Farm and from then I guess the clogs started turning, It wasn’t until after having my first child that I actually started to grow flowers to sell, testing the waters in 2021. I was then known as ‘Gathered from the Garden’. I well and truly fell in love with everything that comes with flower growing - being with nature, following the seasons, learning every day, being surrounded by beauty, getting to be creative, the list is endless. I also saw that there was a huge demand for British grown flowers and the interest they bring to floral pieces that you just don’t get from imported flowers.

Which lead to me looking at larger pieces of land to grow on, and here we are, at the wonderful Woodoaks Farm, which is part of the Soil Association Land Trust, and is a real hub for the local community, with a number of small independent companies all sharing the wonderful site.
